About The Hitch Hiker
Two friends on a fishing trip make a terrifying mistake when they stop to pick up a stranded hitchhiker. Their passenger is actually Emmett Myers, a ruthless escaped killer who takes them hostage at gunpoint and forces them on a dangerous journey across the Mexican desert.
With nowhere to run and a killer watching their every move, the two men must stay alive long enough to find a way out. Directed by pioneering filmmaker Ida Lupino and inspired by a real-life crime spree, The Hitch-Hiker is a tense, stripped-down film noir thriller built on suspense, isolation, and survival.
